Bache-Gabrielsen American Oak Cognac

Bache-Gabrielsen’s “American Oak” cognac is the first cognac ever aged in American oak barrels. This innovative cognac is the result of double maturation: aging for several years in French oak barrels combined with a minimum of six months in new American oak barrels.

The wood is imported from Tennessee and the barrels are made according to criteria established by our Cellar Master, in partnership with a local cooperage in Cognac. The aromatic power of American oak gives this cognac a very distinct character, with delicate aromas of exotic fruits such as coconut and pineapple, which subtly combine with notes of vanilla and cocoa from French oak. The end result is a fruity and very tasty cognac.
