The Bardet Family has been making wine on the banks of the Dordogne river, the Southernmost part of Saint-Emilion, since 1704.

Original “Gabardiers”, they transported barrels on the traditional sailboats called the “Gabarres” from the docks of Saint-Brice de Vignonet to Bordeaux.

The family acquired its first vines in 1704 and began a long tradition of craft and innovative winemaking. Each generation has contributed to the growth of the vineyard, the cellar and the quality of the wines.

Today, Thibault and Paul-Arthur Bardet are bringing a new and innovative pulse to the traditional Saint-Emilion wines.

Paul-Arthur was elected one of the world’s best 50 young winemakers in 2021.

Each generation the Bardet family has brought innovation to increase the quality of their vines and their winemaking.

During the last decade, Philippe Bardet, designed and patented two machines: to sort grapes and unripe fruit selecting only the best and separate the smallest with the most concentrated sugar content from the largest to create unique assemblages.

Preserving the vines and the land has always been key to the Bardet family.

Certified ‟Haute Valeur Environnementale” at level 3.
Biodiversity preservation, phytosanitary strategy, water management, and environmental friendly fertilization are the backbone of the vineyard and winemaking process.

Philippe Bardet was the founding president of the 1st association of the Environmental Management System for wines in Bordeaux.
